Danish E-Bike Manufacturer Launches 5-Year Warranty on Batteries

Danish e-bike manufacturer Promovec A/S is making a strong move on the European market by launching the possibility of a 5-year warranty on their batteries.

Promovec has decided to offer European partners and distributors the possibility of an impressive 5-year warranty on their e-bike batteries. The warranty is applicable for all new batteries, whether sold separately or as part of an e-bike to a private customer.

With this initiative, Promovec is setting a new industry standard for warranty coverage and consumer protection.

- During the years we have successfully improved the quality of our e-bike batteries. Many of them are produced in Denmark and the defect rate is very low. That’s why we have decided to extend our battery warranty from 3 to 5 years, says Jesper Lundqvist, CEO & Owner of Promovec A/S.

Promovec Sets a New Record

Promovec has long been known for offering a 3-year capacity warranty for customers who register the battery on the company's website – but now the warranty is extended even more, which is well-received by Promovec’s Dutch partner Pointer Rijiwielen:

Greater Security for Customers

The extended 5-year warranty period also provides greater financial security for end users. The battery is typically quite expensive and costs several hundred euros, and a sudden battery failure can be a significant financial burden for the end customer if no guarantee is granted.

Registration Requirement

To be covered by the new 5-year warranty, end users must register their battery on Promovec’s website within 14 days of purchase. If the battery is not registered, customers will still receive an extended 3-year warranty from the date of purchase. In addition to this, Promovec also has a 3-year warranty on their motors.
